  1. I'll be on the PvE server, faction undecided at the moment.
  2. I've not been active here or involved in the team for a very long time now. Wish nothing but the best for the Crestfall community, but with official servers coming all interest in the private server situation has died and myself and many of the others I was organizing for the PvE server have dropped Pservers entirely and are waiting for an official release. I pop on here once every 6 weeks or so to have a quick flick through my PM's and see if anything of note has happened.
  3. I thought "Niko" was taking control weeks ago.....
  4. See you on the real servers guys.
  5. I heard the AoE1 remaster was going to be a Windows 10 Store exclusive, anyone heard if it's coming out on Steam or is that W10 still a thing?
  6. This sort of thing is one of the reasons I'm such a fan of Kronos cash shop. Have it out in the open and above board.
  7. With the greatest respect to everyone in the thread, don't use my name/reputation to score political points. I've strictly adhered to the NDA since leaving and have no interest in getting involved in mud slinging, for or against either side. Asura and Dark know why I left and no one else needs to outside of those two, and attempting to use what I might have as a personal opinion as leverage is dishonest at best.
  8. I still check in weekly, there just hasn't been much to post about. There still isn't really. Long term community members said the LGN was a mistake and were ignored. We said LGN 2.0 was a mistake and were ignored. Maybe they'll listen before a third disaster? Doubtful. Asura is an excellent dev, he's not very good with people though and really doesn't want the pressure of running things. Expect to see the project offloaded onto another sketchy sysadmin in the background or another merge with someone with dubious history. I'd be more than willing to help out again, but I doubt I'd be welcomed back in any circumstances tbh.
  9. It's almost like long term members of the community can predict this stuff happening and should be listened to before making major policy changes without consultation...
  10. IIRC this is the 4th time Pottu has done this to a guild. And he is regarded as the best GM on Elysium.
  11. Their next 2 moves will have literally no impact on the project. The Elysium merger is a done deal, they have access to more population there than 99% of all other projects, without having to compete for it. The future of this realm/community is done and dusted, it's already moved on and the forum is barely treading water. After release the majority of our population would have come from Elysium anyway, so this has merely accelerated the process. This community here is essentially RIP and there is nothing to be done to "rebuild" the community here. These forums will be going away in the not too distant future and absorbed into Elysiums fully.
  12. They're likely transitioning over to the Elysium forums entirely, I wouldn't expect any major posts or dev interaction here outside of Darkrasp's blog. I wouldn't expect to see any interaction from Asura again tbh, unless it's another major announcement that only he can make, and Nikko is an unknown quantity with no previous communication so it is impossible to judge where he will come in. Since he has made no attempt to create a dialogue since he came on to the project, it's reasonable to infer that he has no desire to change the way the devs here communicate to what is left of the fanbase here. However, the fanbase left checking in here is now the minority. Elysium is now the CF fanbase, the Elysium boards are now the CF boards, and what is left here is just keeping the light on until the boards go dead, which will most likely happen sooner rather than later. There is no reason for them to keep this expense when it is now basically irrelevant. TL:DR - Check Elysium forums, these are now deserted.
  13. It's an accurate statement. A large bunch of people have either given up on CF entirely or stopped posting while they wait to see what happens with the Elysium release (it's impossible to say which), either way, they're not on here any more. A small group of CF posters have created accounts on Elysium forums and moved on. There has been a (relatively) large influx of new accounts from Elysium fans who are happy that they "won" and are coming here to essentially gloat.
  14. There is no all encompassing vanilla community. Never has been never will be. It's divided by server, by server style choice (PvP vs PvE), time zone, etc. Neither is there some mythical buddy group of Druids across all servers. Funnily enough, there's no responsibility for me to share what I know or what I write either. This popped up today, literary knowledge belongs to no one but the author, and there is no responsibility on said author to share said work beyond which he deems permissible. The word you are looking for is astounding.
  15. Well, yeah? Why would I have any considerations for communities i'm not a part of? It's like expecting me to be concerned about Arsenals transfer window issues as a West Ham fan. Not my team, don't care. Seen this bandied around a lot over the years. First with people hoping devs would leave the scene so we could finally get the "server we deserve". Most of the old devs are gone, funnily enough we're all still waiting on that one server. Then it was complaining and wishing that the 'leet' raiders would leave, people bitching about Vanguard on Feenix and Kronos, or whining about Nope on Nostalrius/Elysium. When those elite level players leave, it then cheapens the entire raiding race for the whole server. Every time an elite level player leaves the scene, it is knowledge lost that is harder and harder to find or replace nowadays, especially with so little of the old stuff being archived. There aren't that many of us who are willing to share their knowledge, or to give the time to create these kinds of posts to the community any more. You don't own my time, nor do you have any right to it.
